HOW TO REPURPOSE YOUR BLOG POST
Do you ever feel like you’re wearing 10 different hats and you feel overwhelmed all the time?
Posting on Instagram, on Facebook, on your blog and wait...you can’t forget to email your subscribers! Well, that’s a lot, I know!
But today I’m going to show you how you can repurpose one single blog post and turn it into 7 pieces of content!
I’m going to use as an example a blog post I wrote about SEO for Pinterest.
I’ve turned that blog post into:
3 Pins
1 Email
1 Instagram post
1 Instagram story
1 Facebook post
First of all, I created 3 different pins, as you can see here. You can use the same text, or change it slightly. I recommend changing the image and the colors, but remember to stay on brand.
Then I wrote an email: I first introduced the topic to my readers and then linked to the blog post, so they could read the whole post.
I then wrote an Instagram post about it, choosing a branded image and I also published an Instagram story (I took a pin and changed slightly the dimensions, because the right dimensions for IG stories are 1080px by 1920px, whereas for pins the ideal ratio is 2:3, so for example you can choose 600 x 900 pixels).
In order to be time efficient, I publish on Facebook and Instagram the same content on the same day, because not everybody is going to see it on Instagram.
BUT WHAT IF YOU HAVE VIDEO CONTENT?
If you have videos on Youtube or Vimeo, you can easily embed them on a blog post and write a description below.
You can also convert them into video pins (which are becoming very popular now on Pinterest!) and you can upload a preview of the video on Facebook, Instagram and Instagram stories!
So there you have it, a way to repurpose your content, so you don’t have to come up with a thousand ideas every single week!
Tell me in the comments if you want to do this yourself!
Did you enjoy this blog post? Don’t forget to pin it!
